The price of urban land increases 7.8% year-on-year in the 3Q of 2017

As shown by the Soil Price Statistics of the Ministry of Development, the average price per square meter of urban land in the third quarter of this year amounted to 7.8% year-on-year , (up to € 162) but experienced a decrease of 2.6% compared to the previous quarter.

On the other hand, in the third quarter of 2017 there were 4,545 transactions , 24% less than those made in the second quarter and 2.4% less than in the third quarter of 2016.

In the municipalities of more than 50,000 inhabitants the average price per square meter increased by 5.6% year on year, (€ 287 per square meter). The highest average prices were in the provinces of Madrid (€ 485.7), Barcelona (€ 447.6) and the Balearic Islands (€ 375), and the lowest prices in Huesca (€ 48.4), Cádiz ( € 115.3) and Leon (€ 120).

The number of sold lots was 968, 5.7% more than in the third quarter of 2016.

In municipalities between 50,000 and 10,000 inhabitants , transactions amounted to 1,591, with an increase of 0.8% year-on-year.

In municipalities between 10,000 and 5,000 inhabitants

In municipalities between 5,000 and 1,000 inhabitants , 857 plots were sold , being an increase of 6% year-on-year.

In municipalities with less than 1,000 inhabitants , 366 transactions were made, with an interannual increase of 3.4%.

Regarding the third quarter of 2016, year-on-year variations represent 17.8% more surface area transmitted and 18% less of the value of them.
